Summertime
At long last the sun has arrived, the barbeques are coming out.
As well as working hard our normal range of kebabs and sausages, we have added a few new ideas for you to try. Here is a selection of what you can hope to find (no guarantees, we sell out quickly!)
Kebabs:Chicken tikka, Chinese style pork, Peppered beef, Minted lamb and
Kofta.
Sausages: Pork, Earlsdon pork & herb, lamb & mint, steak & ale, pork & apple, pork & stilton, pork & leekall day breakfast sausage and boerwurst.
Glazed and coated: pork steaks in lime & sweet chilli, chicken fillets in lemon pepper, morrocan lamb cutlets, smoked barbeque chicken wings, piri piri drumsticks, spatchcock chicken in italian dressing.
Burgers: beef, pork & apple and lamb & mint.
We have also created a range of barbeue packs, each to serve up to 4 people.
Expansion plans
The catering kitchen is now complete. It hosts a range of state of the art cooking quipment, and a new fridge and freezer for storage. We create our pies from scratch here on site - we do not buy in pastry, gravy or fillings. Everything is produced here at the shop.
We have also gained an office, a large storeroom, and a new staff bathroom. This will enable us to move some of the euipment and goods we have stored downstairs, and free up more working space for the butchers.
Award winning sausage
We make in excess of eleven different types of sausage each week, and during a recent visit by Heart of England Fine Foods Vicki (their representative) suggested that we might like to enter a competition they are currently running with Aga. The only really difficult part was deciding which sausage to enter. Well, we are pleased (tickled pink, actually) to announce that our All Day Breakfast sausage has won the top award for speciality sausage at the West Midlands Tastiest Sausage Competition. The award will be proudly displayed at our shop - watch this space for more!
